Get creative at Enjoy The Journey

A reception featuring the work of local artist John Miliotto, creative classes and a girl’s night out headline the many events occurring during January at Enjoy The Journey Art Gallery, 1168 Orchard Park Road, West Seneca.

The public is invited to the opening reception of “Time Stands Still,” featuring works by Miliotto and several other artists, taking place from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, at the gallery and gift shop. The exhibit will remain on display through Feb. 10.

Looking for something new that will re-energize your creative side? The next Try-it Saturday takes place from 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 21 at the gallery. Participants will create a paper collage using handmade papers, magazines, old photographs and a variety of embellishments. The cost is just $20, with registration required by Jan. 19.

The next Wine, Women & Art — A Girl’s Night Out, will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12. An evening with friends held once a month, participants will create a piece of art to take home. The cost is $25 and registration is required by Jan. 10. The January event is limited to 10 guests and will feature painting on glass with artist Andrea Oswald. February’s Wine, Women & Art event will take place on Feb. 2, with registrations due by Jan. 31. Classes fill up fast!
