MQA earns Middle States accreditation

MaryAlice Bagwell, principal of Mary Queen of Angels Regional Catholic School in Cheektowaga, is proud to announce that the school has received the prestigious Certificate of Accreditation from the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools.

To earn the accreditation, Mary Queen of Angels has demonstrated that it is effectively advancing the quality of education experiences it offers its students, meets its responsibilities to the public and the profession of education, and complies with standards for accreditation that are established by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

“The Middle States process was a long and arduous one, but I am excited that Mary Queen of Angels was successful in this endeavor,” said Principal Bagwell. “It validates what an incredible school we have, a relatively unknown jewel located in Cheektowaga.” 

The lengthy and highly detailed accreditation process began in the Fall of 2008, according to Principal Bagwell. The Certificate of Accreditation awarded to Mary Queen of Angels School is valid from Dec. 1, 2011 through Dec. 1, 2018.

Located at 170 Rosewood Terrace, Mary Queen of Angels draws students from the Cheektowaga, Sloan, Buffalo, Depew, Amherst, Williamsville and West Seneca school districts.
