People from all over the world come to Western New York to fish creeks like 18 Mile or Oak Orchard, these creeks present some of the best fishing opportunities in the world. With the cooler weather and changing leaves the Brown Trout and Salmon move in. The Brown Trout show off their amazing colors to get mates, which makes them a prized fish around here. The salmon come in so thick, you can almost walk across them. Things like this draw hundreds and hundreds of people to our state. This is something you shouldn't miss out on. The fishing will last from early September threw April. The fall brings Salmon, Browns and a few Steelhead. The winter and spring bring fresh runs of Steelhead throught that part of the year, so there's always fish around. Everyone should get out there and try, it doesn't cost much to start. 18 Mile is a great place for kids to hook up with some fish, and what could be better than taking a kid fishing for his or her first time?
