Tennyson Court hosts SPCA fundraiser

Williamsville, N.Y., Nov. 15 – Tennyson Court, an assisted living and memory care residence, announced today that it is holding its second annual fundraiser to support the local SPCA Serving Erie County.
“Throughout the month of November, we will be collecting monetary donations and supplies for our local SPCA. Their website, www.yourspca.org, has a great list of suggestions for anyone interested in donating necessities,” said Colleen Eoannou, administrator at Tennyson Court.
“On Nov. 28, we are holding our in-house benefit in order for our residents to participate. They will enjoy entertainment and refreshments, including animal-shaped cookies that they will have baked,” she added.
Anyone interested in making a donation to benefit the SPCA Serving Erie County is welcome to drop off a check or supplies at Tennyson Court, located at 49 Tennyson Court in Williamsville. Donations will be presented to the SPCA Serving Erie County early in December.
“Many of us here at Tennyson Court are animal lovers,” Eoannou said. “My pit bull, Lola, was a rescue dog and is an inspiration to so many of us. She loves people, and is a wonderful example of the fine work the SPCA does in helping unwanted pets find new homes.”
The mission of the SPCA Serving Erie County is to create a caring and kind community that encourages fair and humane treatment of all creatures. Their knowledgeable, caring, and open-minded team of staff and volunteers achieves that mission through proactive efforts to address the current status of animals in our community, education of adults and children, rescue and sheltering of animals in need, and placement of animals into appropriate homes.
Tennyson Court seeks to enhance the quality of life and independence of residents by providing assistance and supervision with the activities of daily living so that each resident may realize his or her full potential. It is the only community of its kind, by design, in New York State.
