Buffalo-based publishing firm No Frills Buffalo will celebrate the release of its latest book, “Broken and Profane” by Jeff Schober, at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at Jack Devine’s Irish Pub, 4170 Southwestern Blvd., Hamburg.
A crime novel, “Broken and Profane” is the third book written by Schober, who also penned “Bike Path Rapist” with Detective Dennis Delano and the novel “Undercurrent.” Schober’s latest effort will be available for just $12.95 during the launch party, which is open to the public.
“Broken and Profane” is the fourth book published by No Frills Buffalo, founded by Buffalo native Mark Pogodzinski. Other books include “Flashes and Specks,” a novel by Pogodzinski; “Diamonds in the Rough,” a compilation of short sports-related stories by Joe Kirchmyer; and “How to Tame a Macker,” a children’s book written by Mark Privateer and illustrated by Nicole Haberer. “Fragments of a Life,” a collection of poetry by Judith A. Rucki, will be No Frill’s next release.
No Frills Buffalo is currently accepting submissions from writers interested in being published. For consideration, authors should email an outline and three sample chapters to submissions@nofrillsbuffalo.com.
Additionally, No Frills recently posted a new “Story of the Month” on its website, www.nofrillsbuffalo.com. The story, written by Erica L. Manson, is titled “Deadline.”
