Annunciation students visit Mercy Flight

Seventh- and eighth-grade students participating in the new Center for Health Science at Annunciation School in Elma participated in their second field trip of the school year on Thursday, Oct. 13. Students and teachers visited Mercy Flight Western New York, an independent, nonprofit provider of emergency air medical transport and supporting services.

Established in 1981, Mercy Flight has flown more than 19,000 patient missions, serving Western New York and Northwest Pennsylvania. Annunciation students toured the facility, met with Mercy Flight personnel and examined the various Mercy Flight helicopters. During their visit, the students were able to watch a Mercy Flight crew take off in response to an emergency call.
