This event took place in Ransomville on 10/1/11 at the McLaughlin Free Library.
If you did not know you were in Ransomville you would think you were in Washington DC at a memorial with the 2977 individual battery operated candle lights which represented each individual life lost on 9-11 and the United States flag flighting with a bright white light showing it off in the dark of the night. It was breathe taking!!!! Father Lesvesque gave a heart felt message for the invocation. Followed by another heart felt message by Reverend Wayne Jagow who was at 9-11. The Sanborn Fire Company Band entertained with patriotic music including America's National Anthem. There was plenty to drink and cookies to eat and activities for the children. The morning started out cold and rainy but cleared with bright sunshine for the event. God was giving his blessing.
Ransomville Remembers, was the theme for the event to honor first responders, veterans and our service Men and women. It was a family celebration of patriotism and hope.
“I wanted to honor first responders and all military. We need to spread Patriotism.” Ruth Buzzard. Ruth was the main person responsible for this event. She lives in Ramsomville.
