Learn to fly a glider at Smith's Field in Cambria. NY with the Niagara Soaring Club. Located on Van Dusen Road in Lockport, across the street from the Niagara Landing Wine Cellars, is Smith Airport. On any weekend you can find gliders being towed into the air at the airport. There are instructors on hand to teach you how to fly these gliders and there are two seat gliders available to learn in. This is an experience everyone should try. If you have flown in airplanes and enjoyed it, this is a very quiet plane ride, since the glider has no motor. Thank You Terry for the nice video on the Niagara Soaring Club at Smiths field in Cambria, NY. My husand is one of the tow pilots and loves what he does. He also fly and inst. in the glider. More people should come and check it out. Thanks again.
