Chef Jake Brach, regional culinary manager for Rich Products and author of the book “The Sustainable Chef — Cooking with the Farmers of New York State,” will be signing copies of his book from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at Farmers & Artisans, 78 East Spring St., Williamsville. Guests that evening will also be treated to food demonstrations and will have an opportunity to sample recipes featured in Brach’s book.
In “The Sustainable Chef,” Brach tells the story of eight small family farms, sharing recipes from each and highlighting beautiful photos from around the state. The book would make a great gift for any cooking or food enthusiast.
Founded in 2008, Farmers & Artisans offers hundreds of locally produced products such as pastured meats, farm fresh eggs, dairy items, farmstead cheeses, seasonal produce, ice cream, maple products, honey, freshly baked breads, dried goods, locally produced grocery items and tasty prepared foods. Delicious chef-prepared take-out lunches are also available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
