Meet Mark Kelso, a member of Buffalo’s four Super Bowl teams, and Joe Kirchmyer, author of “Diamonds in the Rough,” from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 27, at Bases Loaded Sports Collectibles, 794 French Road, Cheektowaga. Active in youth sports himself, Kelso wrote the foreword for Diamonds in the Rough, a collection of sports stories covering a variety of topics, from local sports leagues to cases of pure human survival.
Both Kelso and the local author will be on hand to sign copies of this highly entertaining book. Kelso will also be signing football memorabilia, and Bases Loaded will have plenty of items available for purchase during the event.
Kirchmyer, a West Seneca resident, is president of the local communications company Kirchmyer Media and a graduate of Bishop Timon High School and Buffalo State College.
