While watching the thunderstorm at work, a funnel cloud formed and went from a small one to this large one. Was also able to catch some of the lightning that blanketed the area.

this is Scud cloud. It can look like a funnel cloud from far away, but is in fact just low cloud fragments. Today's conditions were not favorable for tornadogenesis.
