Pet Connection Programs Inc., a special care shelter for dogs and cats located in Marilla, will be participating in several special events during the month of August.
Pet totes and other goodies will be available for sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, in the Walden Galleria in Cheektowaga.
Look for Pet Connection volunteers every day, Aug. 10-21, during the Erie County Fair in Hamburg. Volunteers will be selling pet totes filled with treats and other surprises to benefit the shelter.
On Saturday, Aug. 27, join Pet Connection for their Dog Days of Summer event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Enjoy the Journey Art Gallery, 1168 Orchard Park Road, West Seneca. The event will feature an opportunity for your dog to use his or her paws to paint on canvas, as well as hot dogs, pet totes and puppies!
For those interested in adopting a dog or cat from Pet Connection, adoption hours are 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday and noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, by appointment only, at the shelter.
