Thinking about adding a dog to your family but dreading the "puppy stage?" Have you ever considered adopting an older dog? Pet Connection Programs Inc. currently has five dogs at the shelter in need of a loving home.
Founded in 1984, Pet Connection is a maternity and special care nonprofit animal shelter located at 12935 Williston Road in Marilla. Adoption hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, and noon to 2 p.m. Sunday. Adoption fees are just $150 for puppies and $80 for dogs six months or older. The adoption fee includes spaying or neutering, distemper/parvo combo shot, rabies shot (if old enough), deworming, microchip, bag of food, free health exam and more. Older dogs also spend time with our trainer and dedicated volunteers before heading to their forever home.
Currently up for adoption are “Kia,” a 65-pound mix who listens extremely well; “Donna,” a gentle and shy 25-pound short Corgi mix who loves to be loved; “Twilight,” a playful 35-pound Boston Terrier/Lab/Boxer mix who loves to swim and clown around; “Debbie,” a 24-pound Beagle/Spaniel mix who enjoys playing with her toys; and “Demi,” a very friendly 25-pound Beagle/Spaniel mix who gets along greatly with everyone!
