The bears have returned to Colden a little earlier than last year. I live at the top of Cole Rd in Colden and about 5pm on Memorial day I heard a crash out back and there he was, BooBoo Jr, trashed my bird feeding system and was laying in my lawn eating all the seed. He appears to be last years baby at about 150lbs. Last year in July BooBoo Sr did the same thing, he weighing in at about 300lbs. I have been in contact with the DEC and they are well aware of how many bears are up here.
