MQA students are greeted by a Pet Connection pup.

MQA students donate to local causes

Students at Mary Queen of Angels Regional Catholic School in Cheektowaga are always ready to help a worthy cause. On Friday, May 20, they held a casual day event to raise funds for Pet Connection Programs Inc., a nonprofit maternity and urgent care animal shelter located in Marilla.

Recently, MQA students have also raised funds for the Hawk Creek Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in East Aurora, the Response to Love Center in Buffalo, and for tsunami relief efforts in Japan.

Their most recent effort resulted in a check presentation to Pet Connection in the amount of $167.
