Lafayette senior Jabari Gordon has received a full scholarship to South Carolina State University. Gordon, a new transfer to Lafayette this year, was recognized by SCSU for his excellence in football as well as academics.
Joining the ranks of previous Buffalo Public School athletes who have been recruited—Steve Means, who went from Grover to UB; and Mike Williams, who went from Riverside to Syracuse—Jabari carries a 98 average this year.
Chosen as the March 2011, Channel 4 Scholar Athlete, Jabari says he was “groomed for this” by a family who closely watched over his achievements.
