Collage, a concert performance made up of the Buffalo Public Schools’ best in instrumental and vocal talent, will be held on Tuesday, May 24th, at 7:00 p.m. in Shea’s Performing Arts Center.
Students and teachers began to prepare for this event early in the 2010 – 2011 school year. After many months of practice and instruction, each school’s ensemble was given the opportunity to participate in Collage through evaluated performances during internationally celebrated Music In Our Schools Month Festivals. Throughout March, performances were held at various school sites and were adjudicated by local music education professors and music experts. Those ensembles who scored the highest advanced to the 2011 Collage.
The concert is free and open to the public.
