A grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony at 448 Elmwood Retail & Lofts will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, at the new building, located at the corner of Elmwood Avenue and Bryant Street in Buffalo’s Elmwood Village. The entire community is invited, and tours of the building will also be offered.
Standing on a site previously occupied by a vacant fast-food restaurant, 448 Elmwood is now home to a mix of luxury apartments, retail businesses and available commercial space. Partners in the project are The Krog Corporation of Orchard Park, The Frizlen Group Architects of Buffalo and Michael Ferdman.
Two retail establishments, Coffee Culture and ICU Optical Sunglasses, are currently open for business on the first floor. Twelve two-bedroom, two-bath apartments featuring balconies, terraces and numerous amenities occupy the second and third floors.
“The apartments range from 1,050 to 1,380 square feet and offer six unique floor plans,” said Karl Frizlen, president of The Frizlen Group. “And the location is perfect, convenient to downtown Buffalo, numerous cultural attractions, excellent schools, and some of Buffalo’s most popular shops and restaurants.”
