MQA students help children in Japan

Sixth-grade students at Mary Queen of Angels Regional Catholic School in Cheektowaga recently participated in Cranes For Kids. For each origami crane created and sent to the OshKosh Company, an article of clothing was donated to children in Japan.

The company’s goal of reaching 50,000 cranes was met on April 25. The cranes could either be mailed or uploaded to the Carter's Facebook page. Mary Queen of Angels chose to upload a photograph of 25 cranes surrounding a painting by one of our fourth-grade students, Cole K. Cole had folded two very small cranes and put them in his painting. The students should be very proud to have helped out in such a special way!

Located at 170 Rosewood Terrace, the Pre-K through Grade 8 school serves children from Amherst, Buffalo, Cheektowaga, Depew, Sloan, West Seneca and Williamsville. For more information regarding the school, please visit www.mqangels.com or follow the school’s Facebook page for frequent updates.
