It’s a busy time of year at Mary Queen of Angels Regional Catholic School in Cheektowaga, and the community is invited to participate in several upcoming events.
The MQA eighth grade class will host a Krolick’s Chicken BBQ from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at Our Lady Help of Christians, 4125 Union Road, Cheektowaga. Dinners will include a half-chicken, cole slaw, noodle/potato salad, roll and butter, dessert and a beverage for the pre-sale price of $9.50, or $10 at the door. All dinners will come in a takeout container. There will also be a basket auction and a 50/50 raffle.
The eighth grade class is also holding a Easter flower fundraiser, with orders and payment due by Tuesday, April 5. Flowers available for purchase include hyacinths, mums, daffodils, tulips, lilies and a bulb spring wicker basket. Delivery is scheduled for Thursday, April 14. And finally, school spirit will be on display on Friday, March 25, as the MQA Sports Boosters present A Night of Basketball beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the school gym. Games will feature the school’s K-2 White Team vs. the K-2 Blue Team, and the Grade 8 basketball players vs. the coaches! Come cheer on your favorite team, player or coach. MQA’s cheerleaders will also be in action, and the concession stand will be open and selling drinks, pizza and snacks. There will also be a 50/50 raffle, and admission to the event is just $1.
