Colonial Days

Mrs. Mary Posch’s forth grade class at the Catholic Academy of Niagara Falls recently participated in “Colonial Days”. Mrs. Posch’s class has been studying about the colonial period of our country. The students learned about what the colonists’ ate, how they dressed, what games the children played and how every day life was then. The class completed studies by having a Colonial Days celebration where the students dressed in colonial style clothes, made and played children games from that period and made and ate types of food that the colonist ate. The students said they learned a lot and had fun even though there was no McDonalds or video games.
