Annunciation School will add softball to its sports program.

Annunciation receives ASDF sports grant

Annunciation School in Elma will be adding to its sports program, thanks to a grant from the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame Amateur Sports Development Fund (ASDF). The $800 grant will be used to purchase equipment for a new girls’ softball team.

The ASDF has been providing assistance to area groups since supporting the 1993 World University Games. Funds are awarded annually to amateur athletes, teams and organizations seeking financial assistance to foster the pursuit of a higher level of athletic achievement. A portion of the proceeds from the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame annual induction dinner held each fall is made available to fund the ASDF.

Offering academic programs for students in Pre-K through Grade 8, Annunciation currently serves the following school districts: Alden, Alexander, Attica, Cheektowaga, Depew, East Aurora, Iroquois, Lancaster, Orchard Park and West Seneca. For more information on the school, located at 7580 Clinton St., visit www.annunciationschoolelma.com. To schedule a personal tour of the school, please call 681-1327.
