Open House set at Annunciation School

Students, faculty and staff at Annunciation School in Elma have big plans for Catholic Schools Week, beginning with 5 p.m. Mass and a potluck dinner on Saturday, Jan. 29, at the church, located at 7580 Clinton St.

On Monday, Jan. 31, local marching cadets and a color guard will visit the school. Pupils will have an opportunity to dress up as their favorite patriot or as a symbol of the United States on Tuesday, Feb. 1.

On Wednesday, Feb. 2, the school will be visited by the Buffalo Zoo’s Zoomobile and students will also be treated to a special All-American lunch. A Milk For Health presentation is also planned.

Several activities take place on Thursday, Feb. 3, also known as Crazy Hat and Sock Day! There will be a Special Persons’ Lunch for grandparents and other invited guests, a visit from entertainer Glenn Colton and a student Curriculum Fair.

Additionally, Annunciation School will hold its annual open house from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Feb. 3. The public is invited to stop in for refreshments, a tour of the school, and an opportunity to meet the pastor, principal and teachers. If you can’t make the open house, personal tours can be arranged by calling the school office at 681-1327.

Catholic Schools Week winds down on Friday, Feb. 4, with Mass and a pancake breakfast for parishioners. The afternoon will be filled with Patriot Games geared toward Annunciation students of all ages.
