On Wednesday December, 29 Ruth Anne Buzzard played host to about 100 people gathered in at her home in Ransomville. It stated out as fun activity for the granddaughter of her 6th grade teacher who was coming back to N.Y. from Texas to see her grandparents at Christmas. She had never seen snow and so we were going to make a snowman together while she was here visiting. Ruth wanted to make a memory for her, so one thing led to another and soon they had 50 snowman to represent the whole U.S. and a Big thank you to the service men and women who gave us the freedom to live here in the U.S.
Then came a horse and buggy ride, hot chocolate and cookies, along with the snowman decorating and tribute to the Veterans (with prayer and Wilson school children playing a few songs) would make a beautiful memory for all that were here.
The day might have been cold but the warm feelings of all involved was shown by the smiles on their faces.

What a wonderful, heart warming, and deserving project! It is outstanding! You must have had fun organizing and carrying out the myriad preparations that had to have been involved in this project that clearly touched many hearts. Fantastic job!!!

Ruthanne you should be honored for all the efforts you and your friends put into this worthwhile event. You included all ages and helped all of us to remember to honor our veterans. You are bringing out the best of our wonderful country!! Thanks!
