The City of Buffalo has told residents of the city that parking will remain as scheduled, asking thousands of homeowners to continue shoveling. In my home of Kaisertown, where we have experienced, thus far, nearly three feet of snow, this means shoveling out our cars quickly to meet the 6 p.m. deadline. At 6 p.m. all vehicles on the street will need to be on the opposite side, or as was told to us by the city, WILL be ticketed. Our streets have failed to be plowed and no further assistance has been given to residents south of the city's border. I was stranded on the I-90 overnight and like commuters, residents are being abandoned and forced to face the consequences by themselves. The city may have given up on the community, but we know snow here in Buffalo. We're known for snow and good neighbors, and it seems that's all we'll have until the snow can stop falling.
Vehicle stuck on the side of the road, will need to be shoveled out and moved by 6 p.m. tonight.
