What started out as a Facebook offer for a Night of Hope party kit has turned into a really wonderful event in the making! We were going to host a small girls night out at my sister's bar,
( Bokan's Pub), and everyone we talked to about it wanted to get involved. This Saturday, October 16th, we are hosting a Night of Hope for a Cure. Sutter Home Wines sent out the party kits, we have had numerous donations of baskets, merchandise and gift certificates. We ordered tshirts from SAVETHETATAS.org which donates 25% of their sales to breast cancer research. We are registered with Susan G. Komen , Passionately Pink for the Cure, to donate funds generated from this event. There will be food, a DJ/ Karaoke. Our DJ, Pete actually lost his wife to breast cancer.We will be giving out information and taking pledges to "exam or mammogram". This is a cause that is so near to everyone's heart and I want to thank everyone for their generosity and support. We hope for a great turnout and plan to do this event every year, bigger and better!
