BUFFALO, NY ( WKBW ) Eyewitness News is partnering with the Buffalo - Niagara Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners on a series of monthly reports, profiling successful owners or working women who excel at what they do, while giving back to the community.

The November report features Amherst dentist, Dr. Kelly Truong.

Dr. Kelly Truong's business turns out to be a perfect location for nearby employees at the Crosspoint Business Park.

Dr. Truong grew up in a family who owns a small business, but she took the leap a little sooner than expected. After completing her studies at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, she learned about a dental office for sale.

Six years later, she's now in a bigger office with four dental chairs, five staff members and 2100 patients. She credits her employees for much of her business success.

Dr. Truong says dentistry is a very competitive field. That's why her office has all the latest gadgets, and she stays on top of her game, learning new techniques in the industry.

She says it's all about taking pride in ownership.
