After more than 20 years in the accounting field, Denise Gueli is a partner at the growing Bonadio firm in Buffalo. It's a top job that she never thought would be a good fit for her.

"I think in accounting, women can totally be an effective rainmaker. We're very personal and very relationship oriented, and that's how you get business, " says Gueli.

As one of four partners in the Buffalo office of Bonadio, Denise has helped it grow from 10 people in 2002 to the 130 who work there today. She says it's all about connecting with the clients.

Gueli loves that aspect of her job, but she's a number cruncher, too, specializing in pension audits. She works with all types of businesses from mom and pop shops to some of the largest publicly traded companies in Western New York.

She's also a wife and mother of two girls. Watch the video to find out how her family helps her succeed on the job.
