Don't put away the winter jacket just yet!
It may say spring on the calendar. However, here in Western New York, winter tends to out welcome its stay. Look no further than last week. We've shoveled more snow and braved the cold more in March than we did in February.
And remember when it snowed in the middle of May last year? Fun times!
But if If you need a break from "winter", look no further than the weekend.
If you want the 70s, sorry :( . You'll have to wait a little longer than anticipated. That or drive down to Cleveland Friday.
That's a three hour drive by-the-way. I hear there's a Chick-fil-A along the way somewhere in Erie, if you're into that (: !
It gets a little interesting on Saturday. Some will need the winter jackets, while others will be able to walk out the door with short sleeved t-shirts.
The further south you go, the warmer it gets. Could see some 60s along the New York/ Pennsylvania border Saturday.
Doesn't matter where you live Saturday. You'll need the umbrella. Spring showers will be with us throughout the weekend.
As we head into next week, the upper level pattern favors a mix of 40s and 50s for our area. No shovels, snow blowers needed, if you're looking to rest your back from last weeks winter palooza.
So here's to hoping that some of those 60s and 70s swing their way through Buffalo sometime in the near future. As of now, I wouldn't count on it.
