CASTILE, NY (WKBW) - In a few hours fire teams will again resume the search for the 53-year-old, Lorraine Qutermos, who lived in a second floor apartment in this now burned out building.
Meanwhile in the village and town here remains under a state of emergency.
This is a massive building that had apartments, a restaurant, owned by the missing woman, and the Castile village and town offices, which conatined all of it's records.
This fire has literally left the village paralyzed and will be in a state of emergency until at least tomorrow.
But in this small community is very worried about Lorraine. She was well known here and has not been seen since the fire broke out. Residents are hoping for the best but fearing the worst.
Rescuers called off the search last night, but once again will resume at 8 A.M. this morning.
As for how this is affecting the town and village.
Town and village records from 1990 have been retrieved but any records kept on file before 1990 were destroyed. The bank of Castile has opened it's doors to allow the town and village offices to operate out of it's facility.
It could take up to a year for a new building to be constructed.
