Buffalo, N.Y. (WKBW-TV) At just four years old, Ben Sauer seems to have inspired all of Western New York.

Back in February, he was diagnosed with Stage IV Glioblastoma, which Ben's mom, Mindy Sauer, described on her website Blue4Ben.com, as a malignant and aggressive brain tumor. The little boy's condition wasn't getting any better so doctors stopped treatments and sent him home. Now his family and thousands of others are praying for his recovery.

Thousands came out for the Blue4Ben benefit in Getzville where the money raised will go to help Ben and some will be donated to Roswell Park Cancer Institute for future research.

And even Niagara Falls showed their support by illuminating the falls blue. The Buffalo Sabres also asked people to come dressed in blue for Sunday's game for Ben.
