Looking for a job? A report in this week's Business First examines the numbers.

Unemployment in Buffalo is 7.7%, while Rochester is 7.2%. But WNY staffing agencies say companies are reporting better than expected job openings, with many good paying positions in middle to upper management. Some agencies report job growth in support positions at law firms, while other say IT staffing is on the rise along with accounting and engineering. They say manufacturing is slowing down after soaring a year ago.

A new study says healthcare and hospital workers are more stressed than any other industry. ComPsych Corp., of Chicago, analyzed calls to employee assistance programs and found that healthcare employees had the most calls for stress and anxiety. Workers in the retail industry had the most calls for depression.

This week's Business First List looks at health insurers, ranked by total members insured last year.
1. BlueCross BlueShield of WNY: 366,962
2. Independent Health: 281,793
3. Univera Healthcare: 55,591
