AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) - Trader Joe's, the unique neighborhood grocery store chain is set to open it's Niagara Falls Boulevard location Friday morning.

The 12,000 square-foot location, located at 1565 Niagara Falls Boulevard behind the Barnes and Noble Bookstore in the Target Plaza, will be the first in Western New York.

The store opens at 8 a.m. Friday morning.

Today, eager customers who showed up a day early were lucked out as store officials let them in to check out the merchandise.

90 percent of the products in the stores are privately labeled and don't have as many additives as other foods.

The store is full of WNY themed décor, including hand-painted pieces that highlight the area's attractions and history.

The store is always taking applications so those interested in potentially working for the grocery store are encouraged to apply.
