BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Dozens of stalled highway, road and bridge projects will soon get a jump start thanks to $166 million in state DOT funding from Albany, State Senator Tim Kennedy announced Thursday.
"On top of this $166 million core funding from the DOT, WNY is also going to receive over $140 million from the New York Works program that's focused on infrastructure, economic development and making sure that our economy in WNY is as great as humanly possible," Kennedy said.
The money is expected to create hundreds of construction jobs in the region.
