BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) - A plan to open a liquor store on Bailey Avenue near a community center is upsetting some lawmakers.

The plan calls for turning an old car wash on Bailey Avenue near Warwick into a liquor store.

Assembly member Crystal People-Stokes says it's too close to the Edwards Sanders Community Center.

Stokes is pushing a bill in the assembly to require small businesses and community organizations to be notified when someone requests a liquor license in their neighborhood.
