BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - From the southtowns to the northtowns and through the city and there is a lot of snow out here. There are dozens of plows out making sure the roads are starting to clear but the plows have caused other problems.

From our video there are many cars plowed in and people have to shovel them out.

Main roads are clear but then the snow that is plowed from those roads piles up and blocks the smaller roads.

Cars have been getting stuck in those mounds of snow also.

It's also going to take sometime to get to work, even the roads that are clear from the big heaps of snow, they are still very icy.

Be sure to have an emergency kit in your car and your cell phone charged in case you go off the side of the road.

Another issue is people who are walking around the city.

The sidewalks are covered and it's not only cold but it's very dangerous to walk in the street, with skidding cars and of course the large plows that may not see a pedestrian in such bad conditions.

Once again leave early if you are heading out today, especially if you are going to work or a place you need to be on time.
