Buffalo, NY (WKBW) - The Sheriff's candidates will go head-to-head again on Wednesday evening.

The We Are Women Warriors group is hosting the Erie County Sheriff Candidates Night.

The race is between Sheriff Tim Howard (R), Richard Dobson (D) and Bert Dunn (Law and Order).

Channel 7's political analyst, Bob Davis, says this could be a tough race. Erie County is a predominately democratic area. In this case, the incumbent is a republican.

However, both Dobson and Dunn ran as democrats in the primary, meaning they could split the democratic vote.

During last week's debate, candidates sounded off on school safety, the morale at the Erie County Holding Center and New York's tough gun control law, known as the SAFE Act.

The Erie County Sheriff Candidates Night will take place from 5:30 - 7:45 pm. It will be held at the Frank E. Merriweather Library at 1324 Jefferson Avenue in Buffalo.
