A report in this week's Business First takes a closer look at Shea's renovations. For the third summer in a row, crews are restoring major sections of the auditorium at Shea's. It's part of a five-year, $2.5 million effort to restore the landmark theater to its original 1926 luster.
The report says, in some cases, this is the first time sections have been restored since the theater was constructed 87 years ago. Work will be complete this fall and officials say patrons will notice the changes and it will seem much brighter.

A Buffalo dental company is all smiles. Evolution Dental Science is a manufacturer that is now expanding across the country.
The company's AvaDent, a digital denture product, won a slew of national awards this year, including a "best of class" technology award. It uses automated digital technology to create removable dentures. The product was created here in Buffalo, with researchers working on it for 18 months. Actual production takes place in Arizona at Evolution's parent company, Global Dental Science. The company plans to add more staff with its expansion.
