ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WKBW) The United Church Home Society is now accepting applications for a new program called "Senior Wishes."

The program uses donations and volunteers to try and make special requests happen for senior citizens aged 65 and older who meet certain income requirements.

Most of the requests that have come in so far are "reunion-type" - where seniors are trying to see a family member or friend after many years.

Thursday March 27th from 6pm to 9pm, a fundraiser is being presented by M&T Bank called "Sips, Suds, & Sweet" at Fox Run of Orchard Park.

Tickets are $40 dollars and the proceeds will benefit the "Senior Wishes" program.
