Resident Removed from House of Squalor

BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Buffalo Police were called to a home at 2299 Filmore Avenue Tuesday afternoon after neighbors could not reach the resident living in that home.

Police, fire and emergency crews arrived to find the resident living in a house of squalor, and fire crews had to carry the man out of the home on a stretcher. The resident was conscious and responsive and was taken to a nearby hospital.

The home was in deplorable condition, with jars of urine found throughout the house along feces on the floor. Fire crews were forced to wear masks when entering the home.

No word at this time on the resident's condition.
