BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) - For the 1.1 million people who are uninsured in New York, there is new hope in the form of the online health care exchange..

The site which launched yesterday under the Affordable Care Act, allows individuals to browse, compare, and purchase a health insurance plan at what officials say is a reduced rate.

If you need some help, Kaleida Health has navigators on staff that can enroll you in a plan using a paper application.

But there have been some problems.

Kaleida Kealth is backed -up with calls and the State Goverment gave their employees the wrong login information.

On the exchange website,, hundreds of thousands of people have been faced with error messages because the site unable to handle all of the traffic.

Kaleida Health says their issues should be sorted out shortly. They can help you bypass the online process through a paper application.
