ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WKBW) - A report in this week's Business First shows how an Orchard Park manufacturer is expanding and setting up shop in a vacant Walmart store in Hamburg. Worldwide Protective Products, formerly Manzella, makes safety gloves, sleeves and arm protection devices used in industrial settings, and by military and police. The company has 35 employees in Orchard Park. The Hamburg IDA is supposed to hold a public hearing on Friday about an incentive package for Worldwide. The old Hamburg Walmart, on McKinley Parkway, has been empty for five years. It would become Worldwide's manufacturing base and corporate headquarters.

Niagara Blower is ready to add jobs. The company is undergoing a $5.4 million expansion in Tonawanda. It will add 25 jobs to the staff of 130. A report in this week's Business First shows how Niagara Blower bought a vacant building on Sawyer Street in January. It is now being renovated and will become its headquarters. Niagara Blower was founded back in 1904.
