Mark Croce has spent the past two years focusing on Statler City redevelopment. Now a report in this week's Business First shows how he is turning his attention to neighboring buildings that he owns on Franklin and West Huron Streets. The report says he's fine tuning plans for the West Huron building that dates back to the 1800s. Meanwhile, the Curtiss Building will become a boutique hotel. The report says both projects could be completed by next year.

With Memorial Day behind us, the summer travel season is underway and it costs more to hit the road. An annual AAA survey shows that the cost is up almost two percent to 61 cents per mile. That's more than $9,000 a year, based on 15,000 miles of driving a year. The study is based on maintenance, fuel and insurance costs. The study breaks down the driving costs based on various types of cars. Small sedans are at 46 cents a mile or $6,967. Minivans jump up to 65 cents or $9,795. SUVs come in at 77 cents a mile or $11,599. You can get more details in this week's Business First.
