The side yard of a home at 112 Gilbert Street off of Clinton Street in Buffalo is a popular hangout in the neighborhood and Friday was no different.

To beat the heat several neighborhood children were in the backyard along with the residents of the home, Anthony Faltisco and his three year old son.

Witnesses say Faltisco and others were jumping on the trampoline when Faltisco noticed his son Anthony Jr. face-down in the wading pool less than three feet away. A neighbor spoke to Faltisco moments later after hearing the father's screams for help.

When he was removed from the pool witnesses say he looked purple and three neighbors frantically performed CPR on the child until paramedics rushed him to Women and Children's Hospital. The boy's grandmother tells us he will be there for at least 24 hours, but that he is doing good.

Faltisco denies being on the trampoline at the time of the incident, he says he was at the pool but turned his back to get a water hose.
