Buffalo, NY (WKBW) - Starting Monday at five in the morning, part of Main Street near the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus shut down.

Vehicle traffic between High and North Streets will be re-routed. Construction workers will use Main Street as their home base to disassemble a crane.

For a little more than a year, a 70-thousand pound crane has been a symbol of growth in the Queen City. It has been used for construction on the upcoming medical office building, which is expected to open in about a year.

The road will re-open Friday, August 15th at 5:00 a.m.
