Buffalo, NY (WKBW) - Developers are making lots of progress at the site of the $172 million HARBORCenter entertainment complex and construction is on schedule.

The 650,000 square foot, 18 story space will feature two ice rinks, a Marriott Hotel, upscale sports bar and restaurant and retail stores.

The rinks, parking ramp and sports bar set to open in the fall of 2014 and the hotel in the spring of 2015.

Fans headed out to the First Niagara Center this Friday will have to find alternative places to park.

Vehicular traffic is limited to one lane northbound (away from arena) on Washington Street and one lane southbound the toward arena on Main Street.

Sabres officials are urging drivers to use Michigan Avenue instead of Washington Street.

The Sabres Party in the Plaza will take place in front of the First Niagara Center for the team's season home opener against Ottawa from 4:30pm to 6:30 p.m.
