BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) -Buffalo Fire Investigators are looking into a massive vacant warehouse fire that broke out on Reiman and North Ogden Streets Tuesday. Crews were called to the scene around 8:50 p.m., following reports of heavy smoke and flames erupting from a CSX Building. The building was vacant and up for sale for quite some time. Firefighters tackled the 3 alarm fire for three hours, since the structure was so large and experienced a lack of fire hydrants in the area. Officials believe close to 100 firefighters were at the scene.

"You can see how hot it got, close to 2000 degrees to melt the steel and it's a pretty large structure," said Buffalo Fire 3rd Battalion Chief Michael Biasillo. "There was a lot of heat, but as usual our guys did a fantastic job."

3 firefighters suffered minor injuries at the scene. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation, but neighbors say fireworks were going off near the building shortly before the fire erupted. Officials on scene say the building is an entire loss and is scheduled for an emergency demolition.
