AMHERST, NY (WKBW) - Amherst Police have arrested and charged a 17-year-old male student from Sweet Home High School after alleged sexually assaulting a 15-year-old female student Friday afternoon.
Police received a call from the school resource officer around 1:00 p.m. Friday afternoon after the 17-year-old male was caught allegedly sexually assaulting a 15-year-old female student in a secluded area in the rear of the school.
The two students were acquainted, according to police, and suspicions were raised when an alert hall monitor noticed the students entering a restricted area of the building.
