BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Buffalo's Allentown neighborhood is usually busy with diners and bar-hoppers on the typical weeknight.

But this winter, the severe amount of snow and bitter cold is sending business nosediving faster than the thermometer.

At Hardware, the dining crowd is a fraction of normal, according to bar manager Patrick Gilmartin.

"When it's down to three degrees, people are not coming out," Gilmartin said.

"Our bar crowd is off at night also," he said.

"It's almost a ghost town down here," Gilmartin added, calling weekends busy but not like the norm.

He said business is more stable when temperatures reach at least 25 degrees.
