LOCKPORT, NY (WKBW) - The City of Lockport will receive about $1 million dollars in federal disaster relief to help cover the costs of infrastructure repairs caused by flooding earlier this month.

President Obama approved the relief Friday, only to be used to cover expenses to public infrastructure and not damage to private homes and businesses.

Approval of relief for private damage is expected in the next 2 weeks.
